The Death of Jesus

I watched the Passion of Christ movie tonight.  I know it had graphic content, but I made myself watch it anyway.  Jesus went through a lot of extreme torture for us, as He was crucified as a criminal...we are the true criminals who should have been on that cruel cross!!

I felt the need to watch it and, it was really tough at times I had to look away!!

He paid a debt he did not owe; He went great lengths as that sacrificial Lamb who took on all our sin...He took the due blame and penalty of all our sins onto that cross, yet he was innocent of the crimes He was accused of...

I am reminded of the posting I posted a couple of weeks ago. Jesus willingly went to the cross and carried it for us.  He did do it all... for you and me!!!

We as humans whine when we stump our toe or have a tooth ache. But when we look to Jesus, we must see that He went through great pains and excruciations giving his life's blood up for us.

The long suffering we go through cannot even be compared to the weight He felt during His crucifixion. What was going through his mind right then. Did He actually think the Father had forsaken him? It must have been a very lonely and empty feeling as He breathed his last fleeting breath!

He felt every pain we would ever go through in our own bodies. He did it all for us...He laid down His own life for us to rise up with him in resurrection power.

Hallelujah we were raised into life with him when we come into His Kingdom of grace...when we are reborn in Christ Jesus. We who were dead in our sins take on his righteousness right now. He is living and breathing and seated at the right hand of the Father.

I don't know about you, but I cannot wait for the sound of that great trumpet on that great and final day when Jesus comes for us again to be with Him forever and ever! Oh, what a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see!!

He is our Rock, we can stand strong in his grace.

This life can be really difficult to navigate; we have to trust His Holy Spirit to guide us onward through this journey called life.  Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. The devil wants us to feel alone and like God has left us...only through Christ can we have that victory as we overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!!!

Come Lord Jesus we cry out from the depths of our soul. Give us that eternal revelation of you seated at the right hand of Abba. We pray that you come back soon!   We can get so weary, grant to us patience as we wait upon you...We love you Jesus. Touch us where we are at in you in your amazing and holy name!!!
