Ditch of Isolation

Image
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 I don't know about you but sometimes it seems I get myself stuck in a spiritual rut or proverbial ditch of sin and cannot seem to get out of it on my own.   Isolation is my ditch, and I am well acquainted with since my teenage years.  I don't know about you, but any cycle of sin we fall into is like a domino effect with other sins we think we can go ahead and commit them, and that is a great lie from our enemy the devil. We need people and people need us...I am coming to believe that isolation is a great sin for me. I have no excuse...I cannot hide out an...

The Death of Jesus

I watched the Passion of Christ movie tonight.  I know it had graphic content, but I made myself watch it anyway.  Jesus went through a lot of extreme torture for us, as He was crucified as a criminal...we are the true criminals who should have been on that cruel cross!!  I felt the need to watch it and, it was really tough at times I had to look away!! He paid a debt he did not owe; He went great lengths as that sacrificial Lamb who took on all our sin...He took the due blame and penalty of all our sins onto that cross, yet he was innocent of the crimes He was accused of...  I am reminded of the posting I posted a couple of weeks ago. Jesus willingly went to the cross and carried it for us.  He did do it all... for you and me!!! We as humans whine when we stump our toe or have a tooth ache. But when we look to Jesus, we must see that He went through great pains and excruciations giving his life's blood up for us.  The long suffering we go through cannot ev...

He did All that....for Me!

I see in a vision...  on that great and dreadful day, when Jesus walked up Calvary's Hill. He hung onto the cross for dear life He went the distance slowly walking forward, I envision Him stumble and fall  like I do at times... Then he gets back up with that heavy cross and keeps moving straight ahead... just to think, HE DID ALL THAT... For me, and so much more was transpiring  in the spirit realm The devil and his demons thought.... that that would be the end of their torment! On that dark day when He said it was finished as He breathed his last breath giving up  the Ghost.... You see that cross in the middle was actually my cross. He did all that for me.... Yes, He did and so much more  than I can see  with the naked eye You see we had to identify with Jesus... in every way to be totally free from all our sins... He set us free from our tormented foes forever... and all eternity.
